Yes, the crazy life. And yes, I am quoting a Ricky Martin song. And no, I am not talking about what I think he was talking about. Deal with it :) Still no news from UW, though I have gripped about that enough (real quick-I just want to know!!!) But I'm not really nervous, because I know God has a plan, and He hasn't let me down yet. So I will wait and trust and try to have patience. Easier said than done.
So, you might be aware that January was a rough month. I had no job. It took two and a half weeks for my first unemployment check to get to me. I prayed about finding a job, and I kept hunting. Then I got hired on at the coffee-shop. Soonish after, I was blessed by my SD church family. And my parents. Then I got hired by the travel agency. I prayed. I saved. I was blessed. I survived. I also learned that when you finally just ask God for help, when you have run out of options, He blesses you in unexpected ways.
Fast forward to April. Tomorrow, I start at the House again as a docent (fancy word for tour guide). I'm really excited. With this, I have to chuckle, because I went from having no job and wondering how I could pay my student loan payment (let alone put gas in my car) to having three jobs. They're all different, but they're all fun in different ways. I have great co-workers and bosses in all of them.
Back to my title, I will be working three part-time jobs, volunteering at the House with the curator and learning, being in the chorus in a musical and being involved in both the bell choir and the worship team at church.
But, like I said, I feel very blessed by my jobs, the people I have met and the people that I am far away from. However, things are about to get interesting. And by interesting, I mean crazy-busy. If you don't hear from me for a while, this is why :)
